Wade MacQuarrie

L. Wade MacQuarrie has been a consulting actuary since 1984, specializing in defined benefit pension plans. Before joining Horizon Actuarial, he was one of the founders of Crews MacQuarrie and Associates in 2002. He is a former Principal and Actuarial Consultant with Buck Consultants, Inc., and also was a Senior Consultant with Towers Perrin. Wade is a lead actuarial consultant for several very large multiemployer defined benefit plans. He also works on defined contribution plans, deferred compensation plans, and Retiree Medical actuarial valuations for Health and Welfare Plans. Wade is a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA, a Fellow in the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He is a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and formally an annual speaker for their retirement plan certificate series.
