Paul Dunlap is a consulting actuary in the Washington, DC office of Horizon Actuarial. Paul began his career as an actuary with The Segal Company in 2006 and joined Horizon Actuarial in 2014. Paul’s areas of experience include actuarial valuations under ERISA, asset-liability modeling, plan design, and plan administration. Paul has special expertise in performing interactive modeling for multiemployer plans with respect to their projected funded status and the requirements of the Pension Protection Act of 2006 (PPA). Paul also was recently part of the Retirement Plans Experience Committee of the Society of Actuaries, which published the 2014 mortality experience study that included the RP-2014 mortality table and MP-2014 projection scale. Paul graduated in 2006 from The College of William and Mary with a degree in mathematics. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA.
